In our beautifully appointed cottage 'Shillings & Pence', you will be enchanted by the sounds and perfumes of nature . . . the freshest air, prolific bird life, wallabies, wombats and koalas.
Nestled on the edge of the historic Wombat State Forest Shillings & Pence cottage offers peace and tranquility.
Ramble along a bush walk in the forest or the Four Rivers Run Forest Track or just sit back and enjoy the forest and garden aspect of this beautiful 6.5 hectare property.
The charming cottage features a cosy lounge with flat screen television and a selection of movies, fire place and reverse cycle air conditioning. In the bedroom there is a queen size bed complete with fluffy pillows and doona. Luxury bath towels, robes, slippers and toiletries await you in the bathroom. A fully equipped kitchen is complemented by a Delonghi coffee machine, bread maker and provisions for a continental breakfast.
Walk through our extensive gardens, where you can select seasonal fresh produce to enjoy on the outdoor BBQ, or wonder a little further and enjoy the fire pit, or a romantic evening in the Pavilion by the water edge.
We are pleased to have sourced a supplier of delicious picnic boxes. Daylesford Picnic Boxes can provide you with a delicious gourmet picnic box, packed to the brim with locally-made picnic treats, and a unique kit of reusable picnic tools so you have everything you need to simply grab and go on a local picnic.
You'll also receive a QR code to access a map of local picnic spots to lead you on a picnic adventure around our beautiful Daylesford region, or you can unpack your picnic and enjoy it as a grazing platter at your accommodation after your busy day exploring the region. You can also pair your picnic with a selection of local drinks.
